Frequently Asked Questions

I DON'T THINK MY DOG WOULD EVER COOPERATE DURING A SESSION. CAN YOU STILL TAKE PICTURES OF HIM?

Absolutely! I will make sure to ask questions about your furry friend during our pre-consultation to learn your dog's character and quirks. I will also spend extra time with your dog before the session to get Duke or Molly relaxed and feeling comfortable with me and my camera. It's okay if your dog ignores the sit & stay commands. We can still get great pictures of your best buddy sniffing the air, chasing a ball, or watching the dangerous mailman in the distance.

I WORRY MY DOG WOULD RUN AWAY WHEN HE IS OFF LEASH DURING THE PHOTOSHOOT. IS THAT A PROBLEM?

Safety is very important to me. 99% of the dogs I photograph are kept safely on leash since we do sessions at various locations around town and there might be plenty of distractions. Dogs will be dogs and squirrels can happen. No worries. Your best friend will be safe during the session and I'll just do some magic in post-processing.

DO YOU TAKE PICTURES OF ANY OTHER ANIMALS?

I'm glad you asked. While dogs are usually my primary clients, I love taking pictures of cats, pigs, horses, goats, lizards... you name it. I'm a big animal lover so I enjoy meeting all sorts of species. And every time, I will make sure the photo session reflects the character of your beloved pet.

MAY I BE IN SOME OF THE PICTURES WITH MY PET?

Of course! I love capturing the bond people have with their pets. I will make sure to take some memorable pictures of you and your best buddy together.

MY PET IS SICK AND MIGHT CROSS THE RAINBOW BRIDGE SOON. CAN YOU COME TAKE SOME PICTURES?

The time we are given with our pets is not nearly as long as we would wish and the good-byes might come unexpectedly. I offer a special session with priority booking for terminally ill pets. I can come to your house and work around your pet's ailments to ensure the photo session is not causing any more stress or discomfort to your best friend.

I LOST MY PET SOME TIME AGO AND ONLY HAVE A FEW CELL PHONE PICTURES AVAILABLE. CAN YOU DO ANYTHING?

I'm sorry you didn't have a chance to get great pictures of your buddy. I will certainly do my best. If your picture is of semi-good resolution and sharpness, I can turn it into a digital painting for you creating a one-of-a-kind portrait of your best friend that will look gorgeous when printed on canvas or metal.
